Dr. med. Nadine Gerber (Praxisinhaberin)

Nadine Gerber-Hollbach is a Swiss citizen with German background. She is married, a mother of twin girls, and lives in Erlenbach with her family. She speaks German and English.

After studying human medicine at the RWTH University Aachen, she completed her entire specialist medical training at the university hospitals of Basel, Bern and Zürich. Subsequent to receiving her European medical specialist title, she acted for years as the deputy head of the orthoptic department of the eye clinic of Basel’s university hospital, where her work included conservative and surgical treatments. After a fellowship in Rotterdam, where she acquired the latest techniques of corneal transplantation, she transferred these skills back to the university hospital of Basel, where she worked as an eye surgeon while also assuming the function of deputy head of the department for corneal care, anterior eye segment, refractive surgery and oculoplastic surgery. In addition, she has many years of research experience which allowed her to collect a vast knowhow in teaching and science. She has won various research awards.

When her twin girls were born, she worked independently in various ophthalmologic practices in the canton of Zürich. She specializes in the following fields: orthoptics and pediatric ophthalmology, cornea and anterior eye segment, refractive surgery, surgical laser treatments, oculoplastic surgery.
